Nice (thumb) the brushed rings look good. Not shiny at night when the guages are illuminated.
It goes well with the trim on the boost guage as well.
How can i order them?

Ryan
04-22-2003, 11:41 PM
go for it man there totally worth it, brushed matches the interior quite nicely the chrome original rings are alot shinier and they match the button on the e brake, up to you. I had the chrome ones but when i baught my boost guage i noticed brushed woudl match the boost guage and everythign else better, so i got brushed, and they match everything perferctly. up to you tho.

Hey scott42,

Where in PA do you live? I might be in PA on Sunday. My bother is going to be at Beaver Run this weekend. Let me know, maybe we can hook up.

I've had the brushed set for 4 months though, so I guess that makes me the first? (Though I highly doubt that)

Anyway, DaveB and his wife Kelly are an absolute joy to work with, and he manufactures a quality product. 11 points out of 10 for DaveB's brushed rings!

ok i installed my guage rings today. let me just say after watching the video i felt like i had done this install hundreds of times. it took me just a little over 30 minutes and that is including the time it took me to cut a little zip tie that was holding me back because my car has an alarm. its also including time where i cleaned my plastic peice off and time for when i dropped my freaking keys down into my dash.... lol

needless to say this is a very quick, easy and noticeable mod. WELL worth the 35 dollars

Dave,
I'm Outside of Philly, close to the King of Prussia Mall. Beaver Run...kind of sounds like that could be a possible Mtn. Biking weekend run thing? Let me know if its in the area. I've got nothing planned, so if it is kind of close, let me know, hopefully I'll have my new tires on and not be rolling around on my steelies with winter wheels  :D
thanks
Scott

A+ Ryan!

I've had them on my car for about 2 months now. Keep a watchful eye for them falling out of the ring, unless you have secured them otherwise! :D

BTW, don't use superglue, like the dumb idiot I was... :(

Ping, I'm never too far for good riding. I like to hit Jim Thorpe every once in a while for a nice day trip (they take you to the top of the mountain, give you a map, and say "have a nice ride". 4-6 hours later, you get to the bottom). I just throw the ol' I-Drive on the roof and hit the road

Yes, I'm ordering a set, and can't wait. Thanks Dave.

Just a personal note, not a threadjack - the DaveB rings I got from Dave and Kelly (FANTASTIC service, great people) fit perfectly, no adhesive necessary and have been on for 3000 miles and some rougher roads without dislocating.

scott42 I'll pm you on the mountain biking, have wanted to do Jim Thorpe for a while now... mine's a weird Klein duallie when I'm not riding the Santana Moda (1991 hardtail, sub 24 lb...)...

They are in. Awesome! Little touches like this make the car feel more expensive than it really is. Thanks for a great product.

Installation was a snap. I went with the method of pulling the steering column off, to work around the alarm light. Seemed easier than doing all the work around the alarm sensor.

Dave, what's up your sleeve next?

I avoided pulling out the steering column by letting the panel hang to the side. It did have the interesting result of constantly pressing that button...
