That hood scoop is fugly as hell......and I know I'll get flamed for this but I'm not a fan of Altezza's in the least but I think those look better than stock.....the stock taillights from the rear make the MSP look like every other Mazda.....I wish Altezzas weren't so played because this is the first time I think they actually looked OK on something.

My Thoughts on 'clear' tailight lenses:

Since they come on the IS300 (and always have), I accept them; and I think they look good.

Otherwise; on any other car - it ain't my thing.

And as far as 'fake' scoops, Hood or otherwise (especially on the MAZDASPEED), who ever did that, should have his nuts cut off and shoved up his ass.

I decided to write the seller and ask him some questions to see what he says about the mods...I'll copy the email if/when he replies...I tried to make it sound as though I was really interested in the car, while knocking them for adding the scoop and Altezzas...Hopefully he took me seriously:D

Okay, I am convinced now that I would not want hood scoops on my MSP.
Before I missed my scoops off of my old Impreza (2001 - the best looking one they had!!!), but now I realize I have a different car. It was just one of those things. Those clear alteezas look crappy on the car!!! I have seen some other alteezas on Ebay and they don't look that crappy! And the fact that the hood looks so crappy!!!! If I was to get a new hood on my MSP the scoops would be part of the hood, not some pasted on wanna be cool crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, so its at 4500 something now right? id email the seller, find out the reserve, if its below retail by about a grand, i would offer them that. with that grand i would get a cf hood to replace the gayness, and then get some junkyard stock protege tails and tint them black, so you have a modified msp for less than retail on a new one. and then sell the gay shit on ebay to some ricer and make your money back somewhat.

its like Micheal Jackson, he got plastic surgery and now he is all fucked up. You have to remember, he is a dealer, he will want to charge you for those parts. And who the hell would want to pay for somthing that looks so shitty? So even if he wants 19500 for the car, he will add in $1000 parts and labor, I've seen a dodge dealer do this to a neon, they added euro tails and a more agressive spoiler, maybe $350 in parts and then he ran the labor up so it cost an even $1000

Okay, I heard back from this loser....In his first email to me, he basically just said that he had another Black Mica since I didn't seem to like the "mods" on this one. He didn't answer my questions about the scoop being molded or glued on, or whether it was functional or not. I replied back to him asking again. This was his response: "molded on scoop.... not functional just for looks".

(wow) They paid to have this NONFUNCTIONAL scoop molded!!! Chances are that this thing WILL sell for less than MSRP now. They have ruined the hood...And don't you hate when dealerships slap their own company stickers on cars too??
