View Full Version : Disable shock sensor?

Anyone know how to disable the shock sensor for the MSP stock alarm? I turned the sensitivity knob to the lowest setting, but the darn thing still goes off whenever a truck or car with a throaty exhaust drives by. I'm resorting to locking the doors without setting the alarm (locking the trunk of course). If disabling the sensor without affecting the other alarm function is possible, please let me know how.

By the way, have anyone notice that when the alarm goes off, it honks S.O.S (in morse code). I thought it was suppose to be random.

Oh yeah, great forum you guys run here.

Not to be rude, but I dont think anyone should answer this question. Reason being, many car thieves and use forums to get answers just like this about stock, or aftermarket alarms.

You should call the dealer to get the answer.

Sorry, again not being rude, but they can give you the best answer.

I was actually hoping for some kind of answer that doesn't involve that type of "breaking in and entering" technique, but I hear ya. I doubt the dealership can give me any answers given that the stock alarm is really aftermarket. Thanks for the heads up boost.

Alright MODS, lock this thread please.

Come to think of it, I've never noticed that myself. It certianly does seem to honk Morse for SOS (my P5). That's totally cool. I'll check it again tomorrow and try to confirm it.
