First Gear Issue

I was wondering if anyone else thinks that shifting into first gear feels a little rough or rocky. Many times whether im stopped or at very low speeds(under ten) it seems pretty hard to engage the gear. Is this just the way the stick is or is this bad?

I've owned 3 cars with manual transmissions and they were all like that (including my MSP). Not as much when stopped but definitely when you are moving, even slowly.
