the mspeed exhaust is most restrictive at the downpipe, cat, and mid section pipe, the rear muffler is ok... but why keep it if youre getting a 3 inch mandrel bent turbo back with test pipe and HKS titanium muffler and bolt in random tech hi flow cat for street???

because not everybody is into or wants that loud ass droneing or fart cannon sound thats going to come from the ass of their car with a big ole full exhaust on it. i myself am one of them. plus the racing beat tip/muffler looks very cozy tucked up in that spot cut out for it.

i myself am one of these people. an exhaust i do want. attention and noise i don't. count me in for the down pipe and mid pipe when somebody makes one but till then stock works.

i speak from past experiance when i say that above. i had a flame throwing Turbo II RX-7 with a full 3" exhaust with the cat back being an Apexi N1 single. loud as fuck. sounded sweet but damn was it loud. probably why i got pulled over for a louder than stock exhaust:rolleyes:

its not loud if you use perforated core resonators before the muffler. thats what tunes the exhaust sound. just get an experienced exhaust fabricator and youll have a great turbo back. and by the way the dpipe and mid pipe will increase your exhaust noise a little even with the racing beat muffler. i was sayin why use a 2.5 inch diameter muffler when youre gonna be runnin a 3 inch pipe...

Injen tryed to prototype a 3" exaust on my car as well as the intake, and it didnt gain or loose any HP. Good luck

serious... damn. well i wasn't really looking to gain horsies, more of a prerequisite. later on down the road, i'm gonna run more boost with a fmic, and forged internals. to get the right amount of airflow and to have 0 backpressure (or as close to it as possible) i would need the turbo back with straight through cat and muffler. oh yeah would anyone know how many catalyctic converters there are on our cars?

was that 3" all the way from the turbo or just a catback???

ok check it, its the next day after my shopping for exhaust. after visiting 3 shops(exhaust and import perf), its gonna be expensive. they couldn't even give me a quote as to how expensive. ok muffler shops can only crush bend not mandrel. that would cause too much turbulance and actually reduce hp. autolink in Temple City CA would do the mandrel bending, but it would take 1 week and would cost an arm and a leg. verdict on exhaust. wait till they make a kit.

Yeah but did they do from the down pipe or just cat-back??
