Yeh!......I just got my MP3 back. It's been 3.5 mos. without tunes. New dash, thermostat knobs, shifter knob, Kenwood Z828 head unit, and yes....my 5th set of front and rear sway bar bushings. I should be good to go for at least 3-4 mos. Tires are next. Can't make up my mind. Stay with the Dunlops or go to Yoko's, Faulkin's, Kuhmo's, Toyo's, Nankang's, or Nitto's. Still looking at 215/45/17's. Anyone with thoughts? Looking for that summer grip!

Believe me... I really got tired of my own voice. I had the 919 unit to begin with....then i got my computer, found this site, and learned a great deal about all the discrepencies (sp). I got the 828 without any troubles. Now all I have to do is learn how the thing works. I'm diggin all the talk on this forum. ZOOM-ZOON for now!

I went with the Kuhmo Ecsta 711s in 215/45/17. At $68/ea I couldn't pass it up! They are pretty decent too, especially for the price. I just hope to get more mileage out ot these than I did my Dunlops.

paulmp3......I didn't do anything. Dec.6th.02.....someone broke into my car and stole the 919 unit. If you saw pictures of Dragonbabe79's...mine was the same. My dealership/Insurance ordered the unit that comes in the reg. Protoge. When the tech saw what was shipped, he reordered and thats what I got. Although it's detachable, the sound quality is the same. That's how i feel now. Maybe after i really play with it I'll feel differently.

By the way...I don't think it's a Kenwood issue. I feel that would be upto Mazda USA. All the MP3's should all be the same from the factory. That is what makes it a limited edition model.

I agree.....
the only probelm that I have seen with the 828 is that in my brother's Mp3, the display does the "matrix" effect when he chooses the C display type. He doesnt get the slot machine display and when the radio function is in play that little Icon of a spinning satellite is the matrix looking thing....
I love the fact that the 828 detaches, too bad my stupid ass didnt know that to begin with or it would have never been stolen!
