I got my oil changed today, and they washed, vaccuumed, and Armor-all'd my car for me for free...Pretty cool. Too bad I just did it this morning before I went to the dealership...I couldn't bring my car in there dirty!! Oh well, it was nice of them to try.

I got a green packet with one of those blue LED mazda keychains. There was a survey in there for me to fill to get a free bottle of touch up paint. I also got a calendar with a picture of me, my msp, and my sales rep from my dealer. I also got a VIP card from them but only my first scheduled maintenance is free, then I get complimentary car wash w/ service, free shuttle service, discounts on rentls and accessories, and free body shop estimates.

hmm. perhaps i shouldn't of sent back my survey then with nothing over a 4 on it and most of the questions being a 0 or 1. tough shit. guess they shouldn't of pissed me off.

lol..that sucks..thats why I make it clear to my customers that the survey only affects me (which it does) and if they have any problems with it to please call me and I will personally take care of their problems.

where I work a survey under 97% is failing! and they take $100 dollars out of your pay. If I get a 97%+survey, I get $25 dollars added. IMO, I dont think thats fair. Because alot of times if the customer is mad at something no matter what it is they give you a bad survey...even if you have done nothing wrong presonally.

well first off the survey came to me with some other salesman's name on it that i had never heard of before. so of course i called wanting the right person to get the deserved credit and asked my salesman why his name wasn't on it. he said to hold on to it and not to fill it out till he could figure out whats going on and he would call me back. never heard back from him so i just held on to it till a week ago when i sent it back. what really pissed me off is when i got up there i stood around the showroom waiting to get my car in for its first FREE oil change but before i could apparently i had to wait to meet my new "Mazdaspeed guy" as it was put and get an extra key they mysteriously found for my car. i waited for 45 minutes by the way. so after he finally showed up and introduced himself and started to give me grief about the size of the wheels and tires i had on my car and how it would mess up the LSD i pretty much had enough and went down to the service dept. and said i'm here to get my oil changed and i'd like synthetic put in. he wrote it up and gave me the bill and said it would be XXXX amount of dollars and i said why, i thought the first change was free. he say's not if you want synthetic it comes out to be extra. i said oh i wasn't aware of that. he said so do you have your keys so we can get the car in? i said yeah there in my pocket and i'm leaving and walked out. then i drove the hour back to my house and changed the oil myself.

on the way home my car devoloped this horrible clunking noise underneith the car. turns out my front sway bar bushings were shot or worn out or something and they replaced them 3 days later.

I got free oil changes, state inspections etc right out of buying the car. Eventually got a little thing in the mail with a light key chain, but everyone should get one cause my dad got one for his Miata also.

I have heard the garret turbos dont like synthetic. I was just told to never use synthetic in the msp.... will double check on that.

I got my survey on monday and filled it out with almost all 10's. The only thing I took off for was the dent one of the lot boys put in it...they took care of me, but now I will have a repainted hatch, which may never be the same again. (We'll see how it looks tomorrow) My comment was that they did a good job solving the problem but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Which is true, shit like that shouldn't happen to new cars, whether its a mazda or a mercedes.

But i still want free stuff, i diserve something for still buying the car and dealing with the hassle of taking it back to the dealership twice and living w/o it for 3 long painfull days. (well at least I got a 5spd 626 to tool around in)

It all depends on what the dealership will do for you. I am sure that all dealerships are different. My dealership sucks on giving out free stuff. I wish we did:) Giving out free cool stuff makes people happy. Call the dealership and just ask for one. Tell them if they do you will send all of your friends there to buy a car. then they might give you one

My dealership has been pretty cool about almost everything...

1st I asked about free oil changes, soo they replied with, "umm, sure...we'll give you your first 3 oil changes free", then I asked about stuff like a hat or shirt or something for all the hassles of waiting for my car that was supposed to be in 2 weeks after I went to the dealership the first time, and I got this as a response, " sure, I'll get you a hat...it may have the dealer logo on it, but I'll try to get you a Mazdaspeed hat...oh, and do you like banners, cause if we get any we don't use or we are done using them, I'll send them your way too." Thought that was pretty cool. I haven't received any "special 10% off" keyring, or free lifetime oil changes, but I did get the survey with the blue led keyring, and the promise of a free bottle of touch up paint.

The dealership is well aware of the clunking issue, and said they will take care of me if it occurs (still not sure if I have it or not), and I mentioned that the car seems to pull to the left, soo when I take the snow tires off they are going to re-align it (which I know they should do anyway for all this stuff)...it's just nice to know that they have no problems listening to my problems and fixing them. And I will believe them until they give me reason not to (which they haven't yet).

the only draw back is if i want the mobil 1 syn i have to bring it in myself, but hey thats still an oil change for like $10-$12. i also got the led key chain (light burnt out in 3 days) and i am still waiting for the touch-up paint, i did pay full sticker price for my car. i am going to ask about used abnners and stuff when i go for my first oil change (gotta get it done before injen intake is put on) :)

Hell, if you get free tires(assuming they will be fairly good quality) burn through them things as fast as you can!! I've seen a few pics of our cars spinning the tires pretty good, but i haven't really tried very hard with mine...but if I had free tires, thats a different story

When he told me about the free tires deal/program I asked him what kind of tires they would replace them with and he said o.e.m. and said what ever is on the car now that is what they replace them with, that means free bridgestones!!! hell yeah

All I hear is good things about using synthetic oil in our Turbo engines.....but that has been brought up before.
