OK I hate it. It's way to sensitive. Is there any way to adjust it so it doesn't go off when a bird fly's by? Anyoen else annoyed with it?

You must have a different alarm than mine. You could jump up and down on the hood and it won't go off. Mine doesn't appear adjustable either, it just seems to be entry sensitve only.

Underneath the dash is a small box that has a knob on the side. It allows adjustment of the perimiter alarm.

Is the alarm truly stock? I get the feeling mine was added after factory and has no perimeter sensitivity at all. I looked through the info in the manual and it doesn't mention any form of perimeter sensors. Only a shut off for improper keys and improper entry.

That would explain why the manual images and the actual alarm look completely different. I guess I'm gonna brave the rainstorm outside and see if I can adjust also. Thanks!

The alarm seems to be a Code Alarm 300. If you look at my website you can see the alarm and two stage shock sensor in the photos of the Turbo Timer install. Thier use of the word "perimeter" is stupid. It does not have any type of perimeter proximity sensor, only a two stage shock.

I must have that same "basic" alarm also...The only time mine went off was when I dropped my windshied wiper down on the window while washing it one day. It's coming out this weekend, in exchange for a VIPER, with a turbo timer and prox. sensor. I almost had a remote start for it, but the guy declined since it was "dangerous"...anyone know why??

Many people park in gear, start, go bang into old lady.

Well maybe that old lady shouldn't be so goddamn close to my car then!!! Anyways, I guess it makes sense, but it would be cool to have...maybe i can talk to the installer and get it done...

There are ways to do it, magnetic ring switches, hydraulic servos to engage the clutch, tilt switches, etc... But most are hard, and take time and money to do right. Most installers and shops will not do it because of liability reasons, I will be putting remote start on mine, so I will outline some of the safety features afterwards.

Well, when I was talking to the guy today(not the guy that said no) he explained how they get around the whole coded key issue, versus how other install place do it. So I know he know how to do it, his boss just over-ruled him. But if I'm paying for it, maybe it will get done.
