why didn't someone think of this earlier?

I'd love this for my winter steelies. My question is, i wonder how far out they stick off of the wheels? I wouldn't want it to look too cheesy. And on winter wheels they may get beaten up going through snow....hmmmm.....definitely worth a looksie.
