Taking exhaust off? Just for the hell of it what do you think?

Just to check it out and see if it feels different or weird with no exhaust what do you guys think? Oh and i wanted to ask what would happen if you ran with no downpipe or exhaust, i know its insane just curious though. Later

awesome idea i think.
but not a good idea if you're going to keep it like that for a long period of time...I think it would be really loud...loud enough to get you a ticket....and pollute the city too. Not sure if you'll gain anything....heck, i think you might even lose back pressure as a result lose some power too....
but a good idea to see what it would be like.
The saying goes something like this "the best exhuast for a turbo car is no exhuast"

Wherever the exhaust comes out will get really hot. Plus, unless you've already tried it, you have no idea how loud a car exhaust is when it exits in front of where you are sitting.

It is really loud with the muffler removed and no resonator,
it feels the car runs a little bit faster.

you guys do realize that exhaust gases are pretty warm correct? and do you think that spewing those out right underneith your and against you engine is the brightest or best thing in the world. plus you probably have no idea how loud a car is till you remove the entire exhaust. oh yes,you've heard people with holes in their exhausts and cracked and dragging exhaust but have you ever heard somebody driving around a 4 cylinder turbo without one whatsoever?(stupid)

i did it! it was bad and it was loud and you will have no tourque its fun for about 35 sec.

you really shouldn't take the mp3's responce into account because the n/a is obviously going to be louder. I have had my muffler section off for about a month and get so many compliments about how it sounds, my friends have said that it sounds like a jet when the turbo gets going. I love it, it costs nothing, acceleration after gear shifts is tremendusly improved and it sounds mean just cruising. It's not that loud on the highway either. Highly recommended no cost mod!!!!

It's gonna be loud as fawk! I ran my Rx7 with just a SS downpipe around town once. I swear it sounded like a harley only on steriods! Fire was shooting all over the place! Dangerous but cool as fawk. I loved it loud too...

How bout my MP3. I have the exhaust coming straight out of the downpipe right now because i'm going tomorrow to get it welded on. Yes its loud, No i'm not just driving it around like normal.

and how can you justify the claim that all the MSP's will beat his turbo MP3 in every aspect of driving? your kidding me right? you do realize the turbo'd MP3's usually have about 40whp on the MSP's don't you? granted HP isn't everything but still, playing catch up sucks

You are right I shouldn't speak for others, but I am extreemly confident in my ability to push my cars to the limit, regardless a MAZDA MP3 turbo is bad ass and deserves respect
