Not sure if this is where this thread goes. My name is Jeff, i live in Dallas,TX. I just purchased a Blue 2001 Mazda MP3 5 speed. It's in perfect condition with 19,500 miles. Its completely stock except for a TWM short shifter.

I already have a pretty nice system for it... the stock speakers for awhile, a new kenwood head unit with a detachable face, 2x 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch HE's, US Acoustics USX-2150 Amplifier. believe it or not my prior car to the Mp3 was a 1991 Z28 Camaro, this is the system that came out of it.

Well its definilty easier to work on a MP3 then a camero. I can strip my cars interior in 1/2 hour, all of it other then the dash.
I timed it :D

i dunno i could take apart my entire interior with a nail file in about 45 minutes.....dont ask

I have diassembled both and I definitly find the protege a simple one, Camaroes are just to cramped. Although I am thinking newer body stlye camaro, never had the chance to work on an older one.

And you know I have to ask about that nail file!

the g/f dropped her ring in my console, you have to remove the dash to get the console out, and you ahve to remove the a pillar covers to get the dash out

it was her promise ring and we were on our way to her house, her dad would hvae kinda wondered if she didn't ahve it with her lol

just in case your not joking, the promise ring means she promises to eb a virgin or to take off the ring, (ex g/f by the way but not for that reason.)

I thought promise rings were like her promising to be faithful to you.
I guess I assumed that since I am from a town that I can't think of a single girl that was a virgin after there freshmen year in HS.
Yep we had a lotta HOs!
One time a salesmen at footlocker told me and my buddy that anytime him and his boys want some they just went to my town and cruised around for a while and it never took long.

Hey TXMazdaspeeder, nice to see more people from dallas. Im in richardson and theres quite a few ppl in arlington. We should all have a super get together sometime.. if only arlington werent so far away. Your not too far away. Nice to see someone else around my age (if the age in your profile is correct). Stealth5 is in arlington and is around that age too.

Got any pics of the mp3 to show off?

yeah well about the beverage preference im turning 18 in 4 days so i'll have to break out the dr. peppers fro awhile i guess, my car club is working on getting a large dfw area car meet together theres just two things we cant figure out, where? and what the hell to do while were there? lol......anyways i dont have any pics of it yet, the previous ownere backed into a cart storage thingy at the grocery store so the back bumpers being repainted and im having an alarm installed. Oh and for the ppl in the dallas area if you dont already have an alarm i highly reccomend getting one, alot of car theft beeen going on lately. By the way im not only a noob to the forum but to the import community as well, to put it honestly i dont know jack sqautt about this car lol soany help is appreciated.

For those interested my system hit at about 180db in my camaro, a 747 at 100 Meters is 170 db :D
