So my friend with a 95 M3 AUTOMATIC wants me to race him and i dont really care but i expect him to win....EVEN THOUGH when we went to the track a long time ago with my mustang he ran a 15.5 at best with his auto. So i thought maybe i could do pretty well.....man i dont know i think it was because it was little wet and sandy i couldnt get traction, I launched at like 2200 is this right to launch at? I had a hard time gaining traction and of course he pulled on me after i hit 2nd gear. Im not sure what is everyone launching at? Was it because of the wetness and little sand they put down from snow? Later

Haha thanks, ive been shot down im gonna sell the car!! Nah nevermind ill just learn how to drive better....this is my first manual car so i dont know how im doing, oh well. Is 2000-2200 the range to launch and do you drop the clutch or is everyone letting it out slow?? Thanks

That would be ok to launch on in the DRY, but with sand and wetness, no way.

Thats what I thought, I figured he has the best tires anyways and an automatic so he is going to pull on me regardless.....ill just have to get that K&N cone filter and dry pavement and see what happens. Thanks

not only that but also learn how to double clutch. there is no way you'll beat your friend by granny shifting. :D

Its true, we went to the track his first run was a 15.6 and second was a 15.5 im not sure it seems slow to meet to but then again i ran my slowest times there too....he ran next to a manual M3 and he ran a 14.6....these are also the previous gen not the new ones.....i dont know alot about them. I've seen M3's with pathetic 1/8 mile times at Iwrindale...possible reason 1.) because the driver sucks 2.) M3 engine more suited for topend? 3.) M3's aren't that quick, especially autos?
