Port update

Firstly...thank you everyone who has been kind enough to go by the ports and give us updates.

Was wondering if anyone has been by lately and see how many orange MSP or still there...I am going to pull the trigger on a IS300 if the port situation is unchanged from the last time

These are pretty much two radicly different cars. Why an IS300?

See the thread a MSP vs a IS300.....different cars for sure but I am tired of the wait for the msp...and I do not want a 3 series BMW....seems like the IS300 is a better deal 43 K cdn ( 29K US )out the door for the sport model, real 5 speed, 17 inch wheels and the normal lexus stuff.

But totaly different then the MSP, why not a sentra SER V-Spec or somethig like that. Not to mention I would get an Acura TL type-S over teh IS300 any day for that price.

I would love an IS300. It has the same base engine as the Supras, minus the turbo correct? If so, you can pretty much do anything with that engine you want and it will survive... ANYTHING!!! :D.

timrock101, i think what Oliver means is that IS300 has alawys been the tiptronic (steering touch shift) transmission, until recently (a year ago) they came out with the 5 speed manual with clutch.

dude if your are going to spend 30K buy a RX-8, it may be the bare bones version but you still get the 250hp, oh yeah!

if your gonna spend 30K get a EVO VIII 271 hp all wheel drive 6 speed tranny huge front mount thats where its at screw a IS 300 those cars are dogs unless you mod them heavily.

I bought the MSP....was sitting there a week ago saturday having my coffee with my apoinment at the lexus dealer at noon...phone rings...the msp has arrived....so I stayed with the MSP....getting the lexus guy off my back was another story.

On the 5 speed on the lexus they have some automatic/ manual thing to give people the feel of shifting...the one I drove was real meaning a clutch and gears....was odd to drive the computer takes over.
