do you need any other kind of adaptors or clamps for that or does it just slide right on?

why didn't you just buy 2 filters since they are cheaper than that cleaning kit? How many cleaning do you get out of one kit?

Just like you, I have already copied Britt.(sorry man) You won't need anything else but the filter. Tools will be a flat head screw driver, 10mm socket, rachet, and a steak knife. You will get the picture once you start working...Later,

ARG#7..
how long is shipping expected to be?
Please tell us how the turn out is.... I plan on getting a cone filter too, just not K&N.
I can't wait for Injen or AEM anymore...it's hard to drive stock. :)

I just remembered that i had a Ractive Cone Filter With Heat Sheild in my garage for the longest time that i haven't been using since i lost my previous car in an accident.
I was wondering if you guys think it's safe to re-use my ractive cone filter by just plug and play? I have the K&N filter cleaner and i washed it all up already so it's ready to go....Do you guys think i should try it?
I used it for over a year in my previous car and washed it over 3 times.
What do you guys think? keep it stock or Ractive it?
that ractive filter.... its not the same as a KN filter... its just red dyed paper... i wouldnt use the oil on it... there is no need for it.
by the way i am not bashing the filter... i have a ractive one myself... but tooo many people think they can use the kn re-charger for that filter... totally different material and setup... i wouldnt do that.

ohh really?
I had no clue....i used to clean it over and over with the K&N cleaner on the Ractive filter on my previous car. So, does Ractive have their own cleaner?
What is bad about using the K&N cleaner on the Ractive element?
I guess the answer is to stick with stock air box, huh?
The ractive filter is just paper.... cant be cleaned unless you could use a air pressure hose i guess... or you can wash it and let it dry if you want.. using the oil from KN is just a waste.... i dont see it physically doing any harm, but it is a waste as the oil was desineg for KN's layered filters.

Ohh! I see...that makes sense.
But the element on the Ractive seems to feel like good quality to me. I doesn't feel like paper at all. However, most stock element filters do indeed feel like paper.
Do you think that the quality of the Ractive filter isn't as great as say, K&N? Do you believe that particles will get through?
What's the worse damage that could occur if a lot of dust/particles get through?

Engine damage, if enough gets through.
