I was reading this article ( http://autos.canada.com/national/researching/RoadTests.aspx?year=2025 ) and it said that the Mazdaspeed Protege, in addition to ABS, has electronic brake force distribution. I've never heard any mention of that, and nothing came up in a search.
Can anyone confirm/deny?

All proteges with ABS have EBD. It's in the specs for the Mazdaspeed Protege, as well as regular Proteges and Protege 5s. Just look for "Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) w/EBD(Electronic Brakeforce Distribution)"

When applying the brakes hard...Should one feel the feedback in the brake pedal? Or is there nothing felt when the distribution is working?

You mean when the ABS kicks in? If the ABS is engaged (when a wheel slips and the ABS is pulsing the fluid to the caliper) you could feel a pulsing through the pedal. Under normal operation, when the ABS is not doing anything, no, you shouldn't feel any pulsing.
