Phone charger stuck in power socket

Just picked my 2010 Gran Touring CX9 which I love but soon became frustrated when my phone charger got stuck in the front power socket. Does anyone know how to remove the charger from the socket, I don't want to force it out cuz it feels stuck in there. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I have Griffin stucked in socket and I had to destroy the charger to take it out.

I tiny spritz of WD-40 at the top of the socket, using the spray tube.

Did that work for you, because it feels like the prongs from the charger are stuck into the socket.

happened in 2010 Mazda 3 and it was a b**** to get out. Actually the socket came out of the slot
