Quick question - what is the most common scan tool/ data logger for the MS6? Would like to know what you guys are using to monitor knock, A/F, ignition advance, etc.
Thanks!

Auto Enginuity looks like a good option. Has anyone used this? Are the Mazda enhanced interfaces worth the extra $150?

Most people use the MSD DashHawk for things like this. I believe they retail for $300, and you can find them slightly used in the for sale sections of these forums for $200-250.

Scangauge II or Dashhawk are your best bets. Also, DashDaq is nicer, but also around $600.

I have the Auto Engenuity, does a good job. I did not purchasse the extra Mazda enhanced interfaces. It is not good for realtime readings while driving though, unless you want to take your eyes off the road to look at your laptop. The Speed Racer that came with it will let you read boost, dyno, acceleration, deceleration etc, but after the fact unless you have someone riding with you. I would call it a good "after the fact" diagnostic program, or for tuning on a dyno, but not while driving.

Thanks - I think that's more of what I'm looking for. Do Dashhawk or Scangauge offer the same functionality (log while driving and save to csv for analysis later)?

The DH has its own software where you can pull the log into and replay in realtime. I think you can also save the data as a csv file, but I'm not sure 100%.
