I was thinking about getting 17x7.5 wheels. I would put 215-50 Michelin X-ice tires on for the winter and 245-40 extra stickies for track days. I would keep the 18's for daily driving. Informed input would be appreciated.

I posted a similar thread in this sub forum. It's entitled " Dual purpose wheel or dedicated snows"?I'm also wanting a dual purpose wheel for winter and track and my ultimate double duty wheel would be Enkei RPF-1's in 17 by 7.5. This gets pricey as the wheels are $233.00 each and with Dunlop Wintersposts the package comes to $1650.00 mounted and balanced with center caps included. Then you have to buy R compound tires for the track??!! Good luck
