Trying to figure out which lug nut would be good for my black konig runaway wheels. Ive seen some nice ones so far from 5zigen,muteki,ssk,autoexe.....I really like the Muteki sr48 openend lugnuts*gunmetal*..they look pretty sexy..but hard to tell cause I dont know if I will like the look of them sticking out too far...I dont mind spending up to 150.00 for a set of 20..just wanna make sure first thier strong and will be dependable..next would be lightweight and sick looks..so maybe post some pics fellas of your aftermarket lugs!..that would be extremly helpful to me and possibly others. Thank you :)

Good idea on making sure first. I wanted blue lugs for ages, then I bought and installed a set ... didn't like it much at all. I wish I had some pics but I only had them on for a few days before I installed my winters.

decided to go with the muteki SR48 Lug nuts in the gunmetal finnish..think they will have a good contrast against the black konig wheels :)

I got these bad boys for 30$, they're gorilla lugs, I haven't used them yet, but a handful of people recommended them, and they're well-priced.

I have a few friends run the Gorillaz. no isues.
The Moteki if they are the 7 sided ones be careful. Mine stripped out first time using them. They were soft and rounded them out. And no all by hand, No impact.

yeah that sucks..and I too have heard that..they were the lightweight older versions..the SR48 ones are spose to be of much stronger steel and hold up well from what I have read up about them..ofcourse time will tell ;)

they look great with the silver wheels and red/gold brakes. Sorry, no pics on the car yet. I have to wash it.
Here's a tip for anodized lugs...
To keep the finish from chipping while you install and torque them down, get some plastic ziploc bags (the good thick ones, not the generic ones!) and cut them up into 3 inch squares and stick one in the lug socket. The plastic bag will protect the finish really well. Use a new piece of plastic on every wheel, cause after torquing every few lugs the bag gets ripped up. Also... when they say on the packaging to re-torque the lugs after the first 100km (60mi) they mean it. They backed themselves down from 87ft-lbs to 62ft-lbs on two of the wheels. Re-torqued them and now they are staying tight.
Those SR48 neo-chro's are nice. I was considering those, but people around here have sticky fingers, and those have no lock key and cost $100+.
