I recently had my gearbox fixed, it was jumping outa first gear, initially when I cornered and then refused completly to go into 1st.

It was repaired, and I was told Clutch and Flywheel need to be repalced.

A week after getting the car back, she started jumping outa first gear!
now she will not go in at all!!!!

any idea what the issue could be? ont want to send her back to the dealer as I have a huge fight with them regarding the 6 weeks it took for the initial repair(pissed)(pissed)(pissed)(gun) (gun)

From what I've read if it starts popping out of gear the whole trans will need to be replaced? Anyone else with any ideas?

First thing's first.

Try to put it in first, open the hood and look down by the shift linkage to see if it is hitting anything (look by the shift weight, too). Second, remove the plastic cover by the shifter inside the car and try adjusting the shifter as shown in this video:

If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what to tell you...but those are two easy checks that might work.

I really don't know wtf supposed "experts" are thinking sometimes. If they are linking the jumping out of gear with a worn clutch and flywheel, they are obviously uneducated. jumping out of gear is a shifter alignment, shift dog, suynchroniser or gear issue.

Might be as simple as a cable binding or not allowing full engagement. Might be as complicated as a fubar shift dog or synchro in your new box. Try the cheaper stuff first. It's sort of unlikely the new box is pre-torched.

Don't get too aggravated with the dealer to the point you do not receive a receipt EVERY time you take the car in. This will make the problem theirs even AFTER the Warrany expires!

The majority of mazdaspeed "experts" i've dealt with are fucking retarded. One dealership didn't even know where my FACTORY wideband o2 sensor was located i had to explain it to him. Anyways to the op I suggest you let mazda know that they technically have to look at your transmission if you ask since you are hopefully stock and under warranty. If they refuse u can get a lawyer and fight that shit. I'm so fed up with how crooked and uneducated 99% of these fucking dealerships are. Sorry had to vent lol

fuck dealerships. do your own work.
but in an event when you can't do your own work, mazda doesn't know shit. i hated taking my car to them.
good luck op
