2010 M3's fugly? or is it just me?

Am i the only one that absolutely hates the look of the 2010 M3's? I watched the evolution from the protege's to M3's and fell in love. I was anxiously waiting the arrival of the new M3 body's only to left thinking, it looks like a Japanese fish is smiling at me. WTF were the Mazda designers smoking?

Just want to know if I'm not alone in my thoughts.

While im not a big fan of the smile the exterior is slowly growing on me, more so than the crap interior, that black and red mesh is terrible.

I spotted one in a parking lot a couple of weeks ago and commented that I hated what they did to the car for 2010.
My wife asked what brought that up and I pointed at the car.
She said, "so now it smiles at the other cars as you blow by them?"

Design is a bit too out there. They should have taken a page from the GTI in understated cool. There are far worse looking cars though.

Yes, that one is fairly fugly with those ugly wheels and that dumb AC Schnitzer body kit. I would have mine with a minimal drop and a set of 19" BBS CH's

Definitely think they are a little over board still, hated them when I first saw one, I was like WTF is that thing??? However, with a little slight mods, NO BODY WORK, just wheels, suspension, they can be tasteful again, still like the first gen though (dance)

Love the sedan. It's a shame Mazda couldn't make a MS sedan as well. Wonder which version would be more popular...

^^really good question. Wonder if they would ever do something like that. Like with the Ford Focus. When it first came out I thought it looked horrible. Then the svt came out and I thought it looked ok (now I love the svtf). I always told myself if they only made the svt focus in sedan, that would be sweet! Then the focus st came out and I thought that sucked and still do. Maybe because it's not powerful or anything special...
