Hello guys,

While reading the codes off my car's ECU last week, my mechanic told me I needed to change my MAF sensor and my EVAP valve (what the hell is that?). Anyway, I have change the MAF sensor and it cured my off-idle stumble I've had for a few months. What I want to know is: Do I really need to change my EVAP valve now or can I wait a few weeks until I have a little more money to do it? My car is a 99 Protege DX.

Thanks

You'll have to be more specific, even if that means calling your mechanic for clarification. Did he mean the purge solenoid control valve, the canister drain cut valve, the EGR valve, etc? There are many "Evap" valves on our cars.

Oh I'm sorry... It's the Canister drain cut valve.
