So I recently put on a set of Corksport exhaust hangers and ever since then it has been rattling sooooooo loud. It didn't really start till I took a turn pretty quick one night. Ever since then I can't even stand sitting at a stop light. The rattles are sooo loud that even with the windows doen and the radio on I still hear it. Its not rattling on the tips anymore its somewhere else like the frame or something. Tonight I swapped the hangers back to stock and it does it even more. I honestly have never wanted to sell my car/ part out everything more than I have tonight, it is just unbearable. Anyone want to buy a Corksport Exhaust???? Or how bout a 2007 Speed 6 with H&R springs, Evo X wheels, Cobb AP, Mazdaspeed CAI, and Cobb TIP?????? Really, I wouldn't be that sad if I had to let her go. Any advice would be great...

Thanks
Austin

there are heat sheilds around the links in the driveshaft i believe there are 2 that are really close to the exhaust and also at the Y-pipe if ur looking at the car from the back the right side will be really close to the suspenison.. its seriously a matter of 1 inch probably.. the exhaust just needs to be adjusted, going back to stock wasent a good idea...the exhaust probably shifted taking that turn.. no reason to part out ur car.!! but hey if ya do dibs on the shift knob and springs haha..

to add to this mine is i would say resting against something and i can hear it alittle bit under WOT, but i would never sell my car because of it.. i plan on adjusting it next week or putting some square pieces of bump stop rubber where its hitting

Your exhaust is rattling so you hate your car ???

Get under there and find whats rattling and fix it . . .

Mine did the same thing. Turned out that it needed to be realigned. No problems since then...

+1 to Coyfish's comment. There's no reason to part it out because it's rattling like that...

Thought I was the only person with that problem. Mine rattles a lot, too. I just haven't gotten the chance to put it up on a lift yet. But how do I adjust it anyway? Do I just move it around or do I have to unbolt everything and whatnot?

u gotta play around with the hangers.. its a matter of an inch or less for clearance on certain things.

there is some flat sheet metal perpendicular to and above the exhast tip.... it could be clanging on that, just grab some pliers and sheet metal clippers and bend it out of the way...

Nevermind guys, I figured it out. It was rattling on a piece of the body near the fake exhaust tips. Just grinded it down and now its fine.

That's exactly where mine rattled. A little realignment, a bit of elbow grease and you're good to go.

The clearance on the 80mm piping it tight at the back of the Speed6 with our exhaust system. Another thing to look at if you do some hard cornering is the urethane exhaust hangars.
