Wheel Bearing or Trans noise?

Hi, I have a 2004 Mazda3 hatchback it has a bearing noise at low city speeds, it gets slightly louder when turning to the right which leads me to front left wheel bearing, but when up on hoist running the noise seems to be comming from the transmission maybe carier bearing. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

easy way to check it out.. drive... up to 45-50... put the car in neutral and see if it still makes noise..
