obd2 + extras ?

I have a cheep obd2 reader, worked great on the 99 corrola. but I got my first CEL today, and it will not read the MS3

I'll run to advance and have them read it to me, but I was wondering why it gave me the ERR

The MS3 uses a can-bus protocol. Perhaps your scanner does not support this? I bought my OBD2 scanner from Princess Auto for $45CA and it works with the MS3 but it is new.
