Cams won't turn

I recently had my fuel pump die while on the way to work. Not so bad after 299.034 km on and 02' protege5

After Replacing Fuel Pump Sending Unit, Now my Cams won't turn.

We have taken the valve cover off to check the timing belt it is intact, but won't turn, starter and alternator turn.

Any Ideas ??

Or do I just take it out back and shoot it.

the gas tank wont have anything to do with cams locking up

Belt may 'look' intact. Did you see if it had tension?

You need to remove the front cover and troubleshoot further.

It may just be a belt (low $$) so don't shoot her yet!

what makes you think the fuel pump died?
