This is my ride. most know her as Punisher 6. i originally brought her for a DD while i built my other car. but when i totalled that other car (my escort) i started building this. and this is where we are at since i crashed my other car in 2008. i brought the 6 sometime in 2006.

no no numbers yet you didnt miss them. should have a baseline in november. im doing some testing for a company and need to utilize a dyno.

but for reference i ran a Cayman S @ 5psi, IIRC the cayman S has about 320bhp and about the same torque

the cayman s comes in significantly lighter than my car as well, 2900-3000lbs where mine is 3400-3500lbs

yea i got the fuse box done a couple weeks before the funk flex show in westchester. and got the Engine cover in the night before the Funk flex show.

The air fitlers i had always intended on chanhging the color. just finally got around to it.

spring, i cant wait. if everything goes as planned, there is gonna be a nice surprise for 2010

UPDATE:

a while ago i installed my Greddy ProfecB Spec2 electronic boost controller. i wanna say maybe 2 months ago.

anyway never really messed with it. i did turn the boost up once just to see what it felt like, but didnt tune for it.

anyway, for those not familiar with electronic boost controllers, they add a whole new spectrum to boost. the Greddy Boost controller and turbo timer are 2 of the very few things i have leftover from my escort. so the escort lives on, lol.

anyway, things like Gains, overboost control, alarms, lo and hi boost settings, wastegate fine tuning and Etc. are just some of the things EBCs bring to the table that MBCs cant.

so yesterday or was it the day before? anyway, i started finally messing with the fine tuning of the boost. i start at the 6.5psi that i have been running off of just the wastegates. i adjusted the "start boost" settings which allows you to fine tune when the wastegates start opening to hold the boost. Running off the stock wastegates, they start opening at 3psi, and are fully open by 6-7psi. the thing with them starting to open so soon is that the time to build max boost is increased due the wastegate relieving some of the exhaust flow by the time it hit 3psi.

i adjust this to have the wastegates start opening at 5psi instead of 3psi. this sped up my spool time and substantially increased boost response. some may wonder if the gates start opening at 5psi and im running 6.5-7psi........would that cause spiking? yes........but thats where my gain adjustments come in. the gain allows you to offset how fast my boost control solenoid opens in reference to how fast the turbo(s) build boost. by adjust this as well, im hitting max boost with minimal spike if any. and its holding boost pressure perfectly.

in the end the car gets to the punch a lot faster, so torque is increase more rather build sooner.

since i have currently fully tuned my car utilizing a cold weather tune and regular weather tune and fine tuned my boost control.

i have now bumped up boost to 8.5psi and tonight i just finished my cold weather tune for 8.5psi and started messing with my boost control settings. i am 75% finished with my boost control settings

and man.......6.5psi fully tuned with boost setting on par to perfection made the car even sicker. by just the boost control adjustments, it felt as if i added another PSI of boost.

8.5psi........yea, it doesnt sound like it would make that much of a difference. but you must understand boost and CFMs to know that that 2psi increase causes a SIGNIFICANT increase in power. especially when blow from two turbos. the fast spool and power is there without the lag of a single big turbo. 2psi typically can net 20-40hp depending on the turbo and tune, sometimes more. so do the math, im not saying i gained 60-70hp from 2psi.......but i will say this, with the nittos NT05 tires im running........

2nd gear spins, and 3rd gear unless i feather the throttle. but heres the kicker. LSD..........makes the car still gain substantial speed even while spinning. you can feel it spin, but only if you are paying attention.

in the work of my boy that was with me tonite "what the fuck was that? did you just spin 3rd?" and yea this is granny shifting, dropping boost completly between shifts then flooring it. didnt use "no lift shift" nor did hard shift as if i was racing.

the more and more i fine tune every aspect of my car......the more and more i love it. BOOST RESPONSE is sick now, it was good before but now its great.

But on a serious note.....

I have a lot of things still planned for her. Itss one thing to boost and be happy with the limts of the stock motor....400-425bhp.

But thats not me. My original plan was to have my fully forged botor done and in the car by spring 2010. Unfortunatly i dont see that time frame being kept. I just brought a house not even a month and a half ago. So im keeping funds in the bag for a while just in case the house needs something over ther winter. Not upset about buying a house by anymeans. THats more imporetant than the car.


But in my head i want to have the built motor in sometime 2010...preferably during the summer for show season.

My ultimate goal is 600-700bhp and thats it powerwise.


SOme other things im working on is:


1. Traction bars
2. Cryo treat my spare tranny
3. Possilby a shorter final drive
4. New axles from driveshaft shop
5. Im actually going to finish my suspension setup. Its part done right now. Not the best for road course. But thats what im trying to get into.
6. A full feature in a huge well known mag.
7. Reinforced subframe.
8. I need to install my intercooler sprayer. Been sitting in my basement for a while.
9. Nitrous for giggles....lol...probably never will need it.


Truth be told....im trying to take the 6 to a level that hasnt been attempted yet and put the 6 on the map like an rx7 or miata. I want my car to a legend. Pipe dreams? Possibly....but i have big expectations and goals for this car and community as a whole.


There is more stuff im kicking around in my head. BUt the above listed are my priority right now.

Lil mod upddate. Just recently installed my ETC throttle controller. And i also made my very own TCS auto off module that automatically shut off traction control everytime u start the car.

I borught a 95 accord last year.

So the 6 gets started and ran for about 20 minuts or reved a couple times and shut down 2 times a week. And get driven around the block once everyother week in opposite directions to keep things from sitting too long.

Lmao...OCD huh ,lol. Thats my winter ritual for the 6. Tacks on a whooping 15 miles per winter, lol


I would luv to drive it more. But our raods see heavy salt so that will reak havoc on undercarriages and body parts. I thank god im fortunate enought to have a second car to not have to drive the 6 all the time.

I drive it pretty heavily during the warm months for meets,all the shows i do, and just wanting to have her out for the nice weather.

Ok, so i carefully made it into the dyno today. man, it was a steep incline getting to the back of the building. i scraped a lil bit, but nuthin detrimental. sucks having such a low car at times, lol

and this wound up being a Dynojet.......he got rid of the Mustang dyno and hadnt updated the site site. Dynojet 224 i believe he said it was.



The Results are in..........i wanted 325whp........didnt quite make it on the conservative tune. but im officically over 300whp.

i did these pulls all at 6.5psi with a 12.0afr tapering down to 11.7ish in the upper RPMS, i stil have a good amount of timing pulled as well. so im very happy with the numbers given the conservative tune i ran.

idk, what the hell was up but the dyno was fucking with my spool......notice the huge dip in torque right around 3300rpm. dont know what it was. but it felt like the car stalled then picked back up. i think it was tire slippage, never had this happen on the street.

anyway. pretty good numbers IMO for a conservative tune on 6.5psi i truly think i can hit 320ish WHP on the same pressure, if i get a lil braver with timing. i still have it retarded a decent amount, i feel i can advance it another 2-3degrees and still be safe, but thats all speculation until i do it, lol

I truly think i can make about 320whp or so on the same boost pressure. Considering this was on my conservative tune. I still have a bit of room for improvment.

As for 21psi....

Its coming bro ,as soon as i build my motor i will be running no less than 15psi for ride around fun ,and 20+psi in get money mode ,lol.

But for now on the stock block nothin past 10psi for safety.

To compare his car to mine we were driving on a local 2 lane highway and I was behind his car and we both took off. 1st thru 3 rd gear we were right next to each other. End of 3 rd into 4 th gear his car jumped 4 car lengths ahead of mine. The car is a beast. Justin has done one hell of a job on his car so far. He is an inspiration to all of the 6 community.

yea there is a show at OCC prior to the meet. i have to look at my schedule. there are a few shows early in the season like april. just gotta check my schedule again. i think i have like 10-15 shows on my schedule this year. its gonna be a long season for Punisher.

same here my list for shows is growing as time goes on.. went to about 12 last year, hoping to get to one every weekend if i can.

yeah i really dont want to run the T67 that there going to be offering in there kit though, but we'll see once its on the market.. my main concern is how the front bumper is going to fit with that huge ass intercooler they have in their pics and how much trimming is going to be needed to get it to fit.. my other concern is with all that power and the car being AWD, im figuring that the axles, driveshafts are going to have an issue,both are pretty weak parts as it is and throwing near 400hp at them may cause a few issues.

ok just from the first shot i see no a major problem but definetly a fixable one, swirl marks.. check this out, i use the whole Zaino Process on my car and i gotta say its like Glass.

you dont have to use a buffer but i recommend you do when you apply the PC- Fusion swirl remover.

i dont remember swirl marks on your car at the shows, but white tends to hide them well, the Zaino Process will also enhance the white and make it blind people..

yea i have some swirls. they honestly came from storage (among other blemishes that haunt my dreams, lol)

thru the winter months i just wash and rinse and dry off. just to keep the dust off of the whip.. so no waxin or actual true body massaging.

well no. the only reason you should ever use dish soap on your car is if you want to get all the wax off of it and re-apply it all.. if you use it everytime you wash your car youll strip the wax off of it everytime, its basically just a one time use thing. especailly with the Zaino Process. ive only used it once. does a super good job,gets your paint clean, free of dirt and ready to be claybar'd.

i do recommend this stuff for car wash soap though.

Boosted, the display can be changed if you have the Metra turbo 2 dash kit, not sure if they ever released one for the speed, but other than that i believe thats the only way to do it. i never finished trying to hack into the stock unit. and i cant now, i sold it to a needing member, haha

i still havent done a full cleaning on the whip, s till waiting till true warm weather, for the whole kit and kaboodle

meth tune is 100% complete. i have built two tunes with the meth. i have one very aggressive with a few more degrees timing advance and a 12.1-12.3afr. this tune is set at about 23-24 degrees advance. car pulls like the engine wants to leave the car, lol, its sickening. i tried 26degrees advance but i got some ping registering on the knock sensor. pulled it back to the 23-24 and she is golden on a day where it was 90+ degrees outside. the torque is nasty on the V6. now that im running double figures in boost, the torque is raising significantly.

my mild tune is set to about 18-20degrees advance. with my AFR set at about an 11.7 thruout. still pulls hard but my aggressive tune feels stupid, lol

My injector latency tuning is 100% complete. no more stalling. idles sooooo much better. no more irratic bouncing out of no where. thus far no random shutoffs from a perfect idle while sitting parked. throttle response is way better as well. adjusting my INJ Latency is something i have been meaning to fine tune for a while, just hadnt gotten to it. and the random stalls started irritating me, lol

oh, like it says in my sig, im now running at a solid 12psi. i love this car more and more everytime i get in her and see peoples faces as i roll by and when i get on it...... lordy, just makes me that much more satisfied with my build.

yea, i did a dyno for a company for some testing. so i detuned the car to take as much boost power out of the equation. pulled my timing Wayyyyyy back. that was the only dyno i've had

305whp 303wtq @ 6.5psi with uber retarded timing. i was guesstimating 320ish whp at the same boost pressure with my regular tune. but havent gone back yet.

but those numbers are long gone now considering im running anywhere from 12-15psi with a 70/30 meth to water mix and and a just under crazy aggressive tune.

im guesstimating im past 400whp considering a couple cars and a R6 i ran. but of course thats all speculation.

im pretty much limited in power right now because the bottom end is still untouched. so im trying not blow it but make as much power as possible at the same time. the meth i think is what keeping the motor happy in stock block form at this point, lol.

Once im done building my motor.....im going for 600+bhp.......whoa nelly, lol. but 600bhp is my goal. and i wont stop till i get there. if i want more after that. then the giggle juice will be used

Doug, i mounted my meth pump there because i wanted my lines to be as short as possible. nuthin wrong with mounting things in the trunk at all. it was just my personal preference. now that you have you fuel pressure back you will be able to get your setup running. keep me updated on yours bro

Yup, that's what I'm talking about. I'll pick up my compressor from my buddy's house, and blast 80 PSI through that bad boy. I figured better safe than sorry, and I could see the check valve and/or the nozzle getting clogged. Thanks man! Hoping to get it all in on Sat, but I'm gonna take my sweet time. The only pita's will be mounting the check valve as close as possible to the tap, and running the pump + fuel line from trunk to front. Oh yeah, and raping the wires/line through the firewall. Can't wait to get these last bit of goodies on the car so I can chill. On my way home from getting an oil change, I was near my house and there's a detour so you have to go like 1/4 mile out of your way. Some chick in a Sabb pulls up on my ass as I'm getting into the left lane to make the U-turn back. She's all close as hell and starts to try to pass me (3 laner) on the left. Naturally, I went full wot to allow a little more room ;) She wasn't half way into the other lane before I was 5 car lengths ahead, and then destroyed here, haha. The kicker is, she pulled into my condo complex! she lives in my bldg, hahaha. That's the second time that happened when I ruined a G37 think I was going to be all slow when I pulled onto another road. He went into the left lane to 'overtake me' but it ended in an embarrassing fail for him. He ALSO pulled into my lot a couple minutes later. I'm waiting for my car to get keyed, lol I love that shit though, and it's soooooooo nice to have my baby back!

Dude how long have you been running NT-05's and how are they wearing? I need to upgrade my rubbers and was looking into those as a possible choice.

i've been on my first set of NT05's since before the first national meet. put them on 6-29-09. honestly, the wear isnt as bad as i thought. thru all the driving i do with car (obviously not my everyday car anymore) im pretty sure i have another summer or two left on them. you being a regular driver...i would say you could get about 1 1/2 years or more out of them with "proper" tire rotations. matter a fact here you go:

well after about two years of putting it off, lol. im going to be tackling the wire tuck on my engine. i have my new valve covers all PC'd up and i want to do a tuck before i get put them on. this wont really be a how to. but more of a documented journey, lol.

Unfotunately, we dont own older hondas and ours cars have a massive amount of wires, looms, and vacumm hoses all over the place.

Im going to be focusing mostly on the actual engine. and lightly on the rest by making it look good.

so, i'll start with a picture of how it sits now. old VC's and engine cover removed for this pic.

Ok, so i pretty much have the intake manifold off and all the factory wiring harness for the engine removed from the coverings, components, and brackets. i have the rear cam sensor wires and rear bank o2 sensors wiring to undo from everything holding them. this stuff....the looms and such. is brittle as shit. its basically all just crumbling up and falling apart as i put any pressure on it. Hell, even if i wasnt doing a wire tuck, im thinking now it would have been just as good to remove all the old stuff and re-insulate everything all nice and proper. the stuff crumbles up so bad, im going to have to Shop Vac my engine bay out, lol

officially finished un-raveling everything. did an inspection briefly to see if any wires and such were frayed or damaged. they all look good. Removed my Prosport gauges wiring as well because im going to be installing the new setup while i do the tuck so its all done at once.

Thanks man. Last night i started routing everything to where i wanted it. Im only doing about 2 hours worth of work on it a day. So thats why its taking so long. Hoping to have at least the engine harness wire tuck part of this fiasco finished by the end of the weekend. And my new Evo gauges setup shortly after. Should look really good. I have a new set of powdercoated valve cover i need to swap on bt that will wait until i finish the rest of the engine bay stuff im getting powdercoated.

i know man. i want it in like right now. but my indecisiveness is getting the best of me. i have another spare motor with about 100k on it sitting in my moms garage. the problem is...i cant decide if i want to just buy a brand new set of heads. or just use my current resources and re-do the heads i have on the other spare motor. just buying the new set of heads will take way less time, but cost more money, but rebuilding the other heads full and true will take more time but cost less money.

im stuck in-between wanting to save money and wanting to save time. so you see my issue, lol.

whatever i do, i am wanting to have the motor set to go in by the end of the summer. so we'll see.

The rears I can't adjust without getting underneath the car and stuff, but after driving it for a while it was fun but I wanted to turn it up even stiffer so I put the front to the max. Yea i hear you man. i have a bunch of other suspension stuff tightening it all up so it feels and handles way solid.

Took me a couple of adjustments to get my shock length in the rear in its sweet spot. But she is perfect now.

Just be careful always riding around with them that hard on the street as you stand the chance of blowing them out if you hit a sharp bump. Whereas on the track where that is meant for has no real bumps

I try to take it easy on the street, I hear ya with having it too stiff to risk blowing something.

I'll be sending everything off to my Powdercoating guy probably before the week is over or sometime next week to get everything coated up it the proper color scheme. then off to my guy that does my airbrushing for the final touches.
