I'm getting MZ3 wheels this weekend and needed some clarification on lug nuts. I wanted to get black colored lug nuts, and have seen people using the black tuner style lugs on their MSP wheels, will these work for the MZ3 wheels too or are they wrong also?
The main concern is if the factory wheels count for tuner style or "acorn" style.

I'm pretty sure these would work, but I need some reassurance:

i don't know if it helps you at all, but i'm using the 'tuner' style lugs on my stock rims... don't know why they wouldn't work on the mz3's.

See my concern is that while they "work", the real question is are the lugs seating into the wheel correctly? If not, this can cause some major problems at some point and I don't want any wheel related issues happening.

You DO NOT want to use the tuner lugs on a stock wheel for the exact reason you mentioned.

That's what I figured. To those with tuner lugs, I suggest getting a nice set of acorn lug nuts like the ones I linked above (if you have factory wheels).

the lugs i'm using still have the dome on the open end so they seat themselves on the rim properly. is it still a problem? what kind of problems can it cause?

I think the wheel can shift causing unbound movement and if they get loose enough, the wheel can potentially fly off. Definitely not something I would want to risk.

i used my aftermarket lugs on my stockers multiple times for long periods of time and they were still tight as hell when i went to take them off

same here, i torque to specs usually when im out at Discount Tire gettin my tires inflated to factory specs, i have them re-torque the lugs every time so its always in spec. and i have yet encountered problems
