Ms3 tpms!

Hey I'm a noob at this but I just got the new tenzoR project 7 rims for my MS3 and the TPMS light came on. is it possible to take the sensors off the stock rims and put them on my new ones. Also willing to sell the stock rims and tires w/o tpms if anyone is interested, if i get a good price i will sell them with tpms and tires.

Yeah its possible. You'd either A. have to know/have the tools to take them out, or B. Take it to any local shop, midas/meineke/STS, etc. and pay them to take them out and put them in your new wheels.

Did you order your wheels and tires as a package deal?

If so you will have to pay to have the stock tires dismounted so you can remove the sensor and then pay to have your new tires dismounted and remounted to replace the ordinary valve stems with the TPMS.

Of course you could also just learn to deal with the light and keep a check on your tire pressure manually. Like in the good old days.

I found a local shop that removed my tires and TPMS off my stock rims, put the TPMS on the new rims, mounted and balanced all for $50.

Wow thats a great deal. I myself just got used to seeing the light on my dash. If it ever starts bothering me I'll just have a place put them in for me, but not really concerned.
