Hello all, Daughter's 93 323 with the 1.6L engine.
It was leaking antifreeze so I went ahead and replaced the pump. I didn't do the timing belt but thought (yeah, right) I kept everything lined up.
After reinstall, car ran, but with white smoke. It appeared that it was off by one tooth, so fixed that. Now the poor thing screeches loudly when revved. The noise subsides at idle, but really loud when revved. Do any of you have any ideas or photos so I can figure out where I went wrong?
