So funny. That is the 2002 Subaru WRX lip which was available as an option. I know because I had that lip on my 2002 WRX. :)

It is 3 parts. The two sides you see there and the middle section which bolted under the car.

FWIW... most 02 and up WRX bodykits will bolt directly up to our cars. My fav is the 08 STi hood.

I recently found a lip for the MS3 that no one has probably heard of before. A JDM company called Hikoen made one and it's ugly too, but I'm sure there might be someone out there that likes it.

I don't but the design has potential. They just need to lessen the bulkiness and it might be alright. Some matching sides and rear would help too. Hopefully someone will design a better one for us but I doubt it. They even made one for the Mz3 hatch. I haven't seen anything on the sedan so I don't know if they made one for it.

Tacky IMO. Cant anybody design a SIMPLE elegant lip? HD lip the best so far, and that costs like 10 bucks . Gives me a task to do then.

i think thats funny but it does serve a purpose..i think in japan the CAI is on the drivers side just like ours here in the US, in the photos u can tell because the drivers seat and steering wheel are on the right side, well its left in the pictures but u know what im saying. so the vent is there for the CAI.

I'm pretty sure JDM MZR DISI is in the same configuration as USDM and European. Even if the CAI WAS there on any vehicle, the vents aren't aligned to feed anything but the front tire at best. It serves no more of a purpose than "Z3 fender stick ons" from Autozone.

there could be duct work behind that bumper.. to feed air to the CAI.

its a lip....you probably just stick it up and bolt it on. if the venting for cai were true it would have to be a complete replacement for the bumper. you can stick hood vents on a hood but they arent going to vent anything unless you cut holes for them.

I think the lip vents are actually under the splash gaurd so I`m thinking it's just JDM is all!

I was thinking about the CAI thing when I made the post, but thought the orientation of the engine was the same as the USDM MS3. Maybe it's to cool one of the breaks :P

those are all awful IMO. the one on the black MZ3 doesn't even look like it fits right, or they didn't finish bolting it on (typical of body kits)...

i guess i just see so much of this crap done poorly in my area, that even the good looking body kits look like garbage to me.

i remember a punk kid a long time ago with an S10 pickup... with the worst ever skirt and lip kit you've ever seen..... 'it visually lowers the truck 4 inches'.... yeah... sorry, but it also raised the wheel arches also, and it looks so lovely with your stock S10 wheels.... yuck.

he then proceeds to ask me about my all primered black luv truck, yep. complete with rustoleum black steel wheels.... he was laughing at me. 'you don't even have paint, what do you know about cusom work?' .... the laughing stopped when i took the hood off.


body kits... .pfffffft. i guess if that's your thing. :)
