DH splash screen edit help

Hey,

I am trying to change the splash screen on my DH and, I've downloaded some cool ones. I put them in the splash folder, they show up as .bmp files but the software keeps giving me a ".bmp files only supported" warning when I try to open them. Any idea what's up with that? They ARE .bmp files.

Further weirdness....it actually did put the splash screen on my dh, without me uploading it and, still displaying the error. (dunno)

It must be only black and white, so it has to be saved as a 1bit bmp. It should be under the settings when saving.

yeah, it was only B&W...I'll look for that saving mode....

open up a 3rd party image editor software (like irfanview, photoshop) and save it again to bmp format. that's what i did and it worked.
