need help with the mazda protege

hi all ,
i have a mazda protege auto. how do i change the gear stick in to a better looking one?

are you talking about the shifter handle? if so....there is usually a pin or a clip that you take out and you can slide the handle off.....look all around the handle itself for something like that...
