my 12V outlet is not working currently.
i'm going to check the fuse but after going over the diagram in the car's manual, it doesn't seem to mention it (or i missed it).
just wondering if anyone knows which one or one's could be blown.
And if it's in the engine bay or kick panel plz.
my guess is it would be a 10A fuse, right?

accessory fuse? are your interior lights working? I forget what else is on that circuit. do you have power windows/locks/mirrors?

thats what i found wierd. EVERYTHING works fine accept that.
so if its an accessory fuse like the manual kind of points do, it should mean more than one thing wouldnt work

either that or the wiring/socket is your actual point of failure.
please tell me you've tried to plug more than one thing into the cig lighter..

yes, im not that much fail.
i recently had to remove the climate control unit, and im afraid thats when it might have got disconected or whatever.
i just dont want to take that sh*t out again=/ i dont even know how to get the panels off to access the wiring to the cig lighter.
you can see it with the climate control out but i wont be able to play with the connections from there

should be easy... pull off the shifter surround, then you may have to remove the console.. get at the connections from the bottom, if you pulled it all out, my bet is thats when it got f'd up.

Its def the fuse dude, there is a fuse dedicated to the 12v plug there. Unless you some how yanked the socket out of the dash, ripping a lead, it has to be the fuse.

after reading your other post, you may have actually pulled the plug off the back of the socket. Check the fuse first, if it's fine, back to tearing down the console

i checked all the small rating fuses which seem to be ok.
all of the 10A, or 15A fuses are in tact.
which im almost certain its a 10A. but if the there is a dedicated fuse(which IMO would make more sense) then why is there no sign in the manual diagram?
ill check the connections, so i should pull out the cupholder area to access or take out the whole climate control unit again.
i just hate fishing those stupid ties from the knobs through the mess that is my audio system.
