Help! My radio display blinds me at night!

I am blinded at night by my radio display. It is not controlled by the dashboard dimmer controls. Even if I turn it off, it is still lit up and blinding. help! Am I the only one with this problem?

sounds like a malfunction. My dims down when the dimmer knob is turned off of max.

Please tell us:

a) Is this an aftermarket radio (Not original) that YOU installed or the previous owner installed?

b) Has ANYTHING been done to the Mazda 5 EVER, EVER, like added fog lamps, changed the head lamps, removed the steering column, ANYTHING?

c) Is this used or NEW Mazda 5?

d) Please post pictures:

1) With lights off (Facing a wall so we see they are off)
2) With lights on (facing a wall so we can see they are ON)

e) When did it start?
