is it ok to put water in the cooling system an running it for couple of minitue and drain it to clean the inside?

Prestone's been making a "kit" for years. Flushing is necessary only if regular maintenance has been neglected. Normally, a drain and fill is all that is needed.

Yes, that's fine. Just don't leave it there for more than a few minutes, since it doesn't take long for pure water to start corroding the cooling system's innards.

Be sure to used distilled water (available at any grocery store in gallon sizes along with the bottled water). Tap water has minerals, etc. that aren't cooling-system friendly.
