I think my next purchase will be some new seats since i can't drive more then 20 minutes straight without my ass hurting in my leather seats. Post pictures of your aftermarket seats with names and prices!

To me these are great road trip seats.

agreed. I put close to 500 miles round trip about every 2 or 3 weekends and have no complains about the comforableness of the seats. off topic yes, sue me.

I also agree. Have you messed with all the adjustments yet? Also, not to be rude, but are you on the heavier/wider side of the spectrum? If so, aftermarket seats will be even worse as they are designed for little asian men.

From what I have seen of the StrobeMedia's posts I think he has the regular 3 with their leather seats. Which I can definitely say are a little less comfortable. My regular 6S that I had with leather was pretty uncomfortable after a while and not really supportive (slid around in corners).

If that's correct, find some speed3 seats!

+1 i test drove a regular 3 before i bought my 6 and didn't feel comfortable in it, hence the reason i got a 6....and when i test drove my speed 3, it was night and day....and now, my mom has a 3 hatch, i can really tell the differences between hers and mine.....definitely no support makes it less uncomfortable....

as far as aftermarket seats, i used to have these in my zx2. i got the "wide" version cause i'm not a "little asian man" i'm about 220.....i thought they were comfortable but maybe not for LONG trips....

ha yeah i have an NA mazda 3 hatch with leather seats and they're so uncomfortable for me haha, and no i'm pretty average size, 5'11" 150lbs. +/-5, I'd like to find speed 3 seats but i have no side airbags, so that would require switching seat belts as well.

^^

You might have a hard time finding OEM MS3 seats as I don't see many owners replacing them with anything aftermarket. Your slimmer frame should fit most aftermarket seats, my vote would be a 2nd hand set of Recaros from another car. I've seen JDM Civic/Integra Recaros in a MS3 before and from what I remember from my Honda days, they were superb.

you guys know of any good aftermarket ones i can look at new? I really don't have a ton of money for this because i just unloaded on tint, HIDs and other shit haha, so depending how much i can get for my leather seat, i'll see what i can spend on a bucket/racing seat that are probably comfy as shit haha. So somewhere around the $500 range would be good, and something cloth, black preferably.

i believe some models of the mx3's had stock recaros...was a common seat swap for escorts....

i know i didn't specify in my post, but those lil red x's are pics of blue Corbeau CR1's in wide version that i had in my previous car (zx2).....they weren't too bad, just not for trips longer than 2 hours or so. good for daily driving...... they defintiely sat lower than my factory seats.

yeah, i think it is Peruspeed's car. its for sale in Autotrader.

as for the Corbeau seats. those are meant for a sand rail/dune buggy/off road truck. not something most people would put into a MS3
