Got a question for you MSP people

Have any of y'all had any problems with your cars comparing to the 2003 to 2003.5 edition of which one is better to get?

They're the same, either one will have the same problems as the other. The only difference is some appearance stuff and the colors.

i'm confused by your question...are you asking a personal opinion between the 03 and 03.5?

if you are...personally, it all came down to the color. i've always wanted a spicy...if i couldn't get a spicy, silver would have been my 2nd choice. if i had an 03.5, i would have removed the spoiler (not a fan) and possibly the lip...other than that, there's not a whole lot of difference.

my mp3 was more fun than the msp, imo.

was there a tranny problem with them? what are the problems that come with them?

Well..

- EGR valve may need cleaned to fix rough idle
- The clunk
- Weak rods (if upping the boost too much)
- Weak LSD, snapped.

There are more, but that's all I can think of right now.. but it seems all the problems do have solutions.

there's a tranny problem if you run too much boost.

the only problem i've had with mine is the a/c has gone out (i have a leak somewhere) and my turbo went out. currently around 105K on the odo. if you mod them properly, you shouldn't have any problems.

well it's a good thing you got the 03 instead because you would have been smacked for taking off the wing AND the lip since people seem to love them so much and usually at most just take off 1 or the other.

hahahaha...i had the lip on my p5 for a while...just isn't 'me.'

...and i love msps that have the spoiler removed. i wouldn't do it on my spicy due to the difficulty of finding someone who could paint the trunk properly. spoilerless w/ lip looks ok...but i like having the OEM fogs.

wingless with hardware store plugs to fill the holes. I tried touchup on em, but need to scuff the plastic, or it won't stick.

The wingless looks pretty tight. The spicy orange MSP have really grown on me though I really like that color
