How do you remove standard headunit in Mazda Demio ?

Hey guys,

Im trying to figure out how to remove the stock standard cassette player in my 96 mazda demio

the headunit is located under the air vents

do i need the special mazda/ford headunit removal tool ?

there are a thin black strip of plastic on the side of the radio... you need to pry that off on both sides... then use a ford (ISO DIN) radio puller tool to pull it out through the exposed holes
