Stock kenwood deck issues

So Im driving home from work like any other day and my deck opens as if im about to put a cd in and the power just cuts off to it lol has this happened to anyone else? so i tried holding down the eject button and tried pressing/holding the button that changes from radio from CD to try to flip the deck but no luck so i drove home with no music..
any help would be Great on this :)

You either have to replace it or try the ribbon fix. Check the how to section for ribbon fix.

It's a design flaw in the unit that causes it to go out. Mine died back in 2005.

so its just dead I looked for the ribbon fix in the how to couldn't find it but ill prob end up getting a new one. If I can't fix this one

so i called my warranty company and they will cover my stock HU they just told me to find a hu about the same value of it... then i called mazda to see how much it was it was worth and mazda told me it was $1325.81+tax lol and they can get a new one for me in a week. but i think im prob going to go another route. ill post a pic of the new hu soon hah
