View Full Version : Clutch grinding BAD!!!

I have a 03 mazdaspeed protege My clutch grinds and pulsates when i push it in while driving. Its the pedal thats grinding not the shifter! Anyone had this problem or have any clues what it might be? It only does it sometimes, about 80% of the time driving.....

bad throwout bearing or fucked up clutch collar
fix it ASAP before it gets worse and blows up!

So i took it to the shop today and now it locked up when they drove it in and wont do anything.... And wont start because its stuck in gear... FML... $350 to drop the trans to check it out, they said its nothing serious probably something just came loose.... DAMMIT!!

Dropped oil pan and metal shavings, i gota tear into it and hope my block is salvageable.... Its boared out....

but its prob a spun bearing, thats the most common problem with the FS-DE
