Either starter or battery to start with, check both.
Take it down to the dealer and have them run a code check,
But please be a bit more specific and what year, make, miles, etc. We need more info.
Peace! (rei)
If it is a manual transmission, make sure the floor mats do not interfere with the clutch pedal. If the clutch does not fully reach the floor, the starter will not crank. Usually not a problem with the anchored factory mats, but loose aftermarket mats will slide up and interfere.
If your car is an automatic - ignore this post!(screwy)
