New guy here felles. Nice site! Some good info in here. I just got a 2003 MSP and the side motor mount is bad. I ordered a stock replacement before I found this site. :(

Anyways, I pulled the bad one off, but cant get the part that mounts to the motor to actually seperate from the old mount so I can put it in the new mount. Can anyone provide some advice on getting that out of there and putting it in the new one? I did a search an can't find any help on that. Thanks all and I cant wait to start modding.

you bought an aftermarket stock replacement garbage (meant for non-turbo cars that have the same install issue), that's your problem

if you bought one from mazda you wouldn't be asking for help now!
this was talked about not long ago... search and you'll find your answer

This is a mazda replacement part. At least it was labeled as such. What is the problem you speak of? I did a search, many searches on many Mazda forums and still get nothing about it.

Did you get a whole new mount, or the inserts? It sounds like you got the whole new mount, but I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about. Got any pics of the part you can't get off?

I got the whole mount part that mounts to the fenderwell, but the part that bolts to the motor didn't come with the new mount. You know, the rod part that goes through the rubber part of the mount.

you reuse that bolt.

It's not a bolt that I'm talking about. I know the bolts are reused. The part that connects the old mount to the motor will not come out of the old rubber.

take the nut off of it?

you got the wrong one probably if that part is not attached?

It's the identical same part as the one that I pulled out. but the one part will not come out of the old mount. I will take pictures to show.

Hammer, WD-40, PB Blaster.. my picture sucks and it wouldn't let me upload the other two better ones.

I don't see what your picture has in common with my issue cause yours is all aftermarket.

But I tried the hammer and WD-40 and PB Blaster to no avail...it still wont budge.

Buy an aftermarket side mount, sell or return the one that you bought. Done. Or, buy the part that you need from the dealer and use it for the new one you have.

Sorry didn't mean to offend. Just frustrated.

Here is what I got. On the right is the old one with the part that mounts to the motor. The left is missing that part, and I cant get it out of the old part.

"mazda replacement" doesn't mean it's a genuine mazda part
like I said, you bought aftermarket crap... that's the problem

go buy the part from the dealer so we can stop talking about this

1, 3, & 4. I don't think you will want to pay that much, but that will tell you what parts/numbers they are.. maybe check with some of the people on here that are parting their cars out, see if they have the stock mount and ask them to try getting the bolt off of theirs before you buy it from them.

I'm not going to pay again. That's bullshit. I don't throw away money like that. I have contacted the seller from ebay to return the item.

I will think about what to do after his responce.

Man that sucks. I hate Ebay, sometimes that happens to me and I end up spending more money. I were you I'd torch the bitch to burn off the rubber. Put it on a vise and heat up the what ever you call it "spacer". Then pound the piece you need out. Don't know if it would work but that's what I'd do. Good Luck!

Thanks man, I will probably work some magic on it if he doesn't come through for me. I have filed a resolution with paypal and he still hasn't gotten back to me. I will escalate it soon, but doubt they will do anything for me.

Do you have the link to the eBay auction? I don't think Paypal will do anything since you technically did receive the item and not a brick in a box or something of that sort.
