The problem is it seems like the colors of my wires are different from others since i was following a guide but the wires don't match up. If you can picture the ignition keyswitch socket end where the wires come from the firewall. And then picture looking at the socket end where the wires are coming into, with the clip facing up, not the end that connects to the ignition.
Sorry if that's confusing best way I can describe it.
top left - black
top middle - blue
top right - black w/ blue stripe - spliced with green
bottom left - black w/ white stripe
bottom middle - black w/ white stripe - spliced to blue
bottom right - black w/ red strip - spliced to red wire
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is this like home electric where the black wire is always live? If so then that's prolly where I messed up, i tested the wires with a meter but I might of mixed something up.
Any help THANKS!!

if you look at this picture, those wires are different colored than mine.... so that's why this is throwing me off.

are you sure you're not looking on the other side of the harness?
NO black is NOT hot... it is sometimes ground... sometimes its signal, sometimes it could be hot... the only place there is really a convention is in the aftermarket.

I'm looking at the part that goes directly into the key ignition, like if i follow where you put the key in, there is a harness right after it.

look to the left of the steering column.

There is a bunch of wires electrical taped coming from the firewall, split off, and then some go right up and connect to a socket connecting to the ignition.

fuck man, well, i looked at the the other one, this one is bigger and is clipped on to the lower dash, is this the one? But there are no solid wires, they either are stripped or have gray circles on them, i think there was like 1 solid blue one, no solid red ones. Also in the "http://my.prostreetonline.com/t82.htm" install, he said theres a black/yellow one next to a blue wire, there are no black/yellow wires on it.

see its weird, in the picture on that one site, you can clearly see 3 wire harnesses, on mine you can only see 2, the one is missing lol.... i dont understand, theres the one that goes into the key ignition, then theres one in the middle in his picture, and the one big one thats clipped into the plastic on the bottom...

you need to locate the correct harness. its there... like I said first, reach up over the trim panel n find it.

I prolly shouda added this in to a while ago, when I start the car, the turbo timer kicks on, but as soon as the key turns back to on, it turns off. So like when I push the clutch in, turn the key to start, the engine cranks, the timer goes on, once the car is running and the key goes back and the car is idling the timer goes off..

k ima keep lookin
Wagonbacker9

that means you tapped the timer's power to the starter's signal wire from the ignition.

I think im gonna give up for tonight, cant see shit and gettin bit up.. but I was on my back with my head against the pedals, lookin EVERYWHERE, there are no harnesses with 2 blues 2 reds black/yellow, white/black.. i mean its obviously gotta be there somewhere, but i dont no if its electrical taped up high somewhere where i cant see, i was stickin my hand up near the stock gauges and still nothin, im at a loss.. you think theres anyway to do it with the harness going to the ignition?
thatdude

Is there anyway to find a diagram of what those wires actually are, the ones that I already spliced into?

Here look I found this on another site:
http://www.msprotege.com/members/1sty/remote%20starter/ignition%20harness.JPG
and then it has listed:
12 Volt, black/white or black, +, Ignition Harness
Ignition, blue, +, Ignintion Harness
Accessory, black/white, +, Ignition Harness
The harness I'm currently spliced into has all these.. I tested the black wire, it has constant voltage, how would I test the ignition and accessory? Would the ignition have voltage only when cranking it? and accessory Im guessing when the key is set to accessory and when the car is on?
