Hi every body.

Any one knows how to check valve clearance for Prot?g? FS-DE 2.0 engine by without SST tool. And that should be to plane shim or change to the new one.

My car's engine valves to sound loud after technician came to checked valve clearance. They have to plane the shim and reassembly.

What should I do?

I think you just have to remove the camshaft to replace the shims.

You don't need a special tool from Mazda (SST) to CHECK the clearance. You can get feeler gauges at any auto parts store and some general tool store (at least in the US).
