Iv noticed at full boost it makes it to 9.5 PSI but i have no boost controller so i have no idea how this happened. I reallly dont want my engine to pop so what would you suggest i do? iv also noticed that i have a leak in my vac line i dont know if that would play a part in it. thanks

Ok I am 90% sure it's your wastegate and the other 10% says you could have a broken vacuum line. Obviously start with the line if you are not sure it's ok because this is the cheapest and easiest route, but more than likely your waategate is broken. It's a common thing on these cars, mine went bad about 3 years ago. Speedcircuit.net had it for $75 but it looks like they dont offer it anymore but *************** has it for $99 and don't worry you can change it without removing the turbo from the car I did it in almost 2 hours because of the breaks and the cursing.

Does forge make a good wastegate? or should i go with a non adjustable one?

i say get the forge one if you want to run higher than stock boost levels but if you are happy with around 6.5 just buy the one from atpturbo.com

If you're overboosting to near 10psi, first I'd say take it easy until you fix the problem. Based on your mods, you're really pushing the limits on the stock engine. Second, it definitely sounds like a wga problem. The stockers are infamous for going out on us. So if you just want a cheap and reliable replacement wga, I'd go with the ATP. You can get it from *************.com for about $75 I think. Or check the FS section. I picked mine up for $50 on there.

i just went through the same issue it was no fun but once you get that replaced it should run like a champ again. i know they mentioned it before but seriously take it easy until you get the new WGA on there these motors are like glass without the right mods and 9.5 is pushin it anyway.. the ATP is a great product but any wastegate on the MSP is not fun to replace.
