Black Leather Seats

2009 CX-9 GT AWD

Four months old and the leather seats are showing a faded white look. It seems to be showing where there is constant wear from getting in and out of the seat. Anybody have the same issue? Is this a poor dye job?

Did you try treating with a good leather cleaner/conditioner?

I have the sand seats. I always have problems with dye from pants transferring to the leather, especially where I rub while entering/exiting. It comes off with a vigorous leather conditioner cleaning.

I also get white wear marks on the black leather seats in my C6 Vette, and it comes off with a good cleaning too.

When I took delivery of my 08 CX-9, there was a light coloured blotchy look to the drivers seat. I compained about it and they replaced the seat cover. It looks great and has stood up now over a year. The dealer first wanted to repair the seat and I refused to accept that so eventually got my way!
