Hey guys,

When I drive my car, it makes an ear screaching vibration noise from the back of the car. It's really awful sounding, its a deep noise, and it only happens when the car is in gear and yo aren't accelerating. Put the clutch in - problem solved, accelerate, problem solved. Certain RPMs and gears are worse, like 4th gear at 4k RPM is horrible!!

It sounds like its coming from inside, or the trunk area. I've checked for loose stuff but nothing seems to be askew.

Thanks! I do have the clunk, but thats suspension based. This vibration is the kind that pulses into your brain, a really powerful, loud humming noise that sounds like a bass note getting blasted through a subwoofer. The whole car feels like it shakes.

Maybe a messed up tire? or a wheel bearing?

I sat in the back seat today while my dad drove it and it sounds like its coming from the passenger side rear wheel.

Maybe try swaping the tires around and see if the noise changes with whereever the tire goes.
