Powder coated my 2nd set of RX-8 Wheels...

Just a little teaser the powder coater sent me. Picking these up on Monday and should have them on the car as well.

Photos do not do the color justice. It is a dark metallic blue with a lot of flake that shimmers in the sun.

Cost was quite cheap actually. I picked up these rims for $50, and the powder coating was another $200.

Ha ha they are mounted on the car. However the car is at Mazda getting the turbo replaced. I will have the car back today sometime.

Love the tires. Had them for 10,000 kms and they are sticky but offer wicked wet traction as well. Wear is on par with what I expect for a performance tire.

I had a set of Nitto Invos before and they are miles ahead of them. Not knocking the Invo's they were an awesome tire, but these are incredible in comparison.

Wow. Absolutely incredible PC job. Not a fan of Blue on red to be honest. It would look incredible on a white car though. I still can't fathom how you got them for 50 bucks. I was trying to buy a shitty set locally and the guy wouldn't budge from 300.

i think they look grrrreat...so good, in fact, that i'm not ashamed to say i copied yr idea & got my standard wheels painted Kona Blue, 1/2 flake & 1/2 pearl deep cobalt blue. the paint code is from Ford Mustang, L6. one of these days i'll wash the car & take some pics. i do like the contrast btw the red car & the blue wheels, much more than i would black wheels. something about red car/blue wheels just flips the proverbial switch for me.
