How fast were you goin?

Out of Turn 15 anywhere from 45-55 on to the front stretch. Then around 95 into Turn 1 and braking to 75 up to Turn 2. Barber is a showcase for the Carbotechs.

which ones are you using, the XP8's? Do you use them on the street too?

Thats why the MS3 has great street credibility.

I'm running the XP8's front, AX6's rear (find the AX6 have more initial bite and give the impression of a little more rear bias)

On the street I run Hawk HP+'s - they get the job done without much fuss.

I don't mean to be a cockblocker but I don't buy it. I don't think that Carrera S was trying. I know our cars are fast but the rate you are passing him dosen't make sense against a Carrera S.

Was the Porsche trying? Did you ask him?

"Hey remember when I passed you on the straight away like you were standing still, were you going all out or did you just brake early?"

I think I see brake lights going on just before the dip on the Porsche....

Again no disrespect, I love our cars!!

No disrespect taken and the question is one I get all the time. Drivers of more valuable cars tend to drive them carefully, though some will still push hard. It's part driver/part car.

Case in point, I watched as a friend of mine in a 300hp Mitsu Eclipse went around a factory prepped Lamborghini Diablo GTR (40 ever made) like he was standing still at VIR. Both were in a "Novice" run group.

In the case of my video, we are both running in an Intermediate group. At this point, we have all had a good number of track days under our belts, and understand the dynamics of our cars and the track. I had been on the back bumper of the Porsche for several turns, and he gave up the position because I was the faster car. It is a combination of high corner-exit speed and out-braking (along with line etc): I had essentially already made the pass in the previous corner, before I actually went by him. You see this all the time at the track: Guys in Vipers being passed by instructors in Spec Miatas. Heck I passed every form of BMW during the weekend: M5, M3, M Coupe...but was also passed by lesser cars too.

The video you WON'T see is me being passed in another session by an instructor in a John Cooper Works Mini ;)

+1 ^

I have heard so many good things about barber...
nice kill on the Porsche...got him in the braking zone...looks like.

Its Amazing what happens when people don't have braking markers...you do this to them...

same goes for bikes...you see people out there on Ducati's and some guy the other weekend on a MV Augusta.
Matter of fact,...I almost took out that MV Augusta (missed my braking marker)...would have been a expensive wreck for him.(alright)
